Help Us Receive $7500 Challenge Grant

Each of you can help the school receive $7500. A coalition of businesses has offered a challenge grant of $7500 IF we reach 100% participation in giving for this year’s Annual Fund. Thank you to the following businesses for generously trying to inspire everyone to give: Fiddlers’ Green, Body Business, Dream Bakery, and the Reid family, founders of Stretch.

How can you help the school receive this donation?

  1. Volunteer for the phone-a-thon by clicking here to sign up for a bit of time on Tuesday 12/13, and help the Friends of the Fund as they call to remind those who have not given, and call to say thank you to those who have.
  2. If you have not given yet, do so by cash or check, or through our online giving form.
  3. Remind others that every donation counts, no matter how big or small. Help spread the word about this challenge gift and encourage them to give in December.
  4. If you know a business that might want to pledge and be part of the coalition, have them contact Keelan.

img_1181As we bring to life our new foundational language–Our Purpose, Promise, and Principles–let’s remember that our fifth principle is “ALL IN.” There are so many reasons to come together as a community, and we know our school will be stronger for it.

When Keelan meets with businesses, grant officers, and philanthropists within and beyond our campus community, they almost always ask things like “Do all of the families at the school give?,” “Do you have full support from your community for the vision you are asking me to fund?,” or “The Girls School has 100% participation in giving to their Annual Fund and is requesting support from us also. Why would we give to you if their school community seems more supportive of what is happening there?”

We can improve our answer to these questions, but not without EVERYONE’S help. Gifts the the Annual Fund are received year round, and can even be made as a monthly draw. As soon as each family has pledged their support, we will receive this challenge grant and greatly improve our chances of receiving further support from others, too. The sooner we come together, the brighter our future becomes.
