Accreditation

Accreditation at Headwaters

Headwaters School is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS). ISAS, a member of the International Council Advancing Independent School Accreditation (ICAISA), has voluntarily submitted to a rigorous and impartial review of its accreditation program and demonstrated its adherence to the Council’s Criteria for Effective Independent School Accreditation Practices. ISAS is commended by ICAISA for the quality of the Association’s accreditation program for its Member Schools. We gained accreditation for the first time in June 2020.

Headwaters School is also accredited by the Texas Alliance of Accredited Private Schools (TAAPS), which is a Texas Education Agency (TEA) endorsed State accreditation agency. TAAPS is a member of Texas Private School Accreditation Commission (TEPSAC), the State governing body of private school accreditation associations. Our most recent TAAPS re-accreditation was granted in June 2019 and expires in June 2024. We have been accredited with TAAPS since June 2006.
