Diwali

Headwaters understand that this is an important holiday for families who celebrate. Students who miss school will not be penalized. Guides will not schedule any major deadlines, tests, or required events on this holiday.
Diwali, or the Festival of Lights, is a five-day festival, starting with Dhanteras, then Hanuman Jayanti and Narak Chaturdashi, followed by Diwali, and then Govardhan Puja and Bhai Dooj celebrations. The Festival of Lights takes place on the darkest night (the first night of the new moon) in the month of Kartik in the Hindu calendar.
