Meet Middle School Math Guide Daniel Ramirez in this Staff Spotlight!
We are thrilled to spotlight Middle School Math Guide Daniel Ramirez to the entire Headwaters community!
Daniel brings a wealth of experience to Headwaters, having worked in education since 2007. Throughout his career, he has fostered a love of learning in students from 3rd to 9th grade, and just before joining us he served as an instructional coach and secondary math interventionist. In these roles, Daniel excelled at working with students and colleagues to cultivate a deeper understanding of math concepts.
Daniel notes that his passion lies in creating a supportive and compassionate learning environment where each student feels empowered to grow. He believes in the importance of personalized instruction and utilizes a project-based approach to help students develop a strong foundation in mathematical thinking. “I am looking forward to helping my students reach their full potential,” Daniel shared.
When Daniel isn't guiding his students on their mathematical journeys, he enjoys traveling, making music, playing disc golf, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
Daniel's dedication to his students and his enthusiasm for math make him a valuable addition to the Headwaters Middle School team. We are confident that our students will thrive under his guidance and look forward to their achievements in math!
What Brought Daniel To Headwaters
Headwaters has always had a compassionate approach to education that sets out to honor and empower the students in a more holistic way. After working in public education and experiencing the overwhelming effects of the STAAR test, I decided to apply for the middle school math position, and learn more about the Headwaters program. During my first visit, I felt an immediate connection to the ethos and culture of the River Campus and decided that it was time to make the move out of public education and begin my new career here at Headwaters. The level of trust and respect that I have received from my co-workers and students this year has been incredibly refreshing.
