YCC Gates of Life

Springs Campus YCC Courtyard | 6305 Menchaca Rd. Austin, TX 78745
Headwaters School invites parents of moving-up YCC students as well as other classmates/parents to join us in celebrating the Gates of Life for those friends who are moving up or moving on after this school year.  Please arrive by 8:25 a.m. to start promptly at 8:30 a.m. This will be a short and sweet ceremony to acknowledge the end of the school year and new beginnings for all.  Our event is not required. If you do attend, please stay with your child at all times. There is no childcare offered on this day.  Feel free to practice these words before the big day:  “An ending is but another beginning, rejoice all ye who pass through these gates!”
Student Photo Privacy Request at School Events
In an effort to maintain a secure and respectful environment for all of our students while at school, we would like to ask parents to refrain from sharing photos of children, other than their own, on social media platforms. We understand the excitement that comes with capturing precious moments, but we ask for your understanding and support in protecting the privacy of all our students whose parents may not wish for their image to be shared. Apps like Canva, PicsArt, or just your phone’s editing capabilities are great ways to crop or add a sticker.

What are the Gates of Life?

At the end of each school year, we have a Gates of Life ceremony for students who are moving up and moving on. This tradition spans across the grade levels at Headwaters and is a treasured tradition. We recite these words to mark the transition, "An ending is but another beginning. Rejoice all ye who pass through these gates."
