Parent Ed: Elementary Executive Functioning

Creek Campuses
Paper explosion in the backpack? Outbursts when asked to do more than one thing at a time? Hundredth reminder about brushing teeth? These patterns may relate to Executive Function--the skills needed for planning, organizing, starting, and finishing a task.

Howdy! For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Alexandra (Alex) Gantley and I’m the learning specialist for the Creek campus. I cordially invite you to attend a morning virtual Parent Education event on Executive Functioning on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, from 9-10 a.m. We are hoping this time and format will  let parents tune in before their day gets too crazy!  Since this is a virtual presentation, we will also record and share for anyone who isn’t able to attend.

I look forward to sharing how executive function impacts learning at school, as well as learning tools for home that can build children's confidence and lessen parent frustration. This event is great for parents of any Elementary student.
