AMC 8

River Campus (Middle & High School) 801 Rio Grande, 78701
The AMC 8 is a national mathematics competition for middle school students, typically in grades 8 and below, organized by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA). It consists of 25 multiple-choice questions covering topics such as arithmetic, algebra, geometry, counting, and number theory. Students have 40 minutes to complete the exam, and calculators are not allowed. The AMC 8 challenges students to apply problem-solving skills and mathematical reasoning in a timed setting. It serves as a gateway to higher-level competitions like the AMC 10 and encourages young students to explore deeper mathematical concepts.

The AMC 8 will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Any student interested in competing should let their math guide know.
