Winter Weather Update for Week of February 18, 2025
We are closely monitoring the winter weather forecast this week, always keeping the safety of our students and staff as our top priority. At this time, we expect to remain open, despite cold temps this week.
We encourage all students to dress warmly for the colder temperatures—pants, coats, hats, mittens, and warm shoes will help them stay comfortable throughout the day. Please do not send your child with gloves unless they are able to put them on by themselves. Click here to view our guidelines for cold weather temperature outdoor play and activities.
Per our Inclement Weather Protocols, we will notify families and staff of any schedule changes through our Emergency Text Alert, email, website, social media, and local news media if there are any schedule changes. If you do not hear from us, school is on as scheduled.
Special Notes:
- Due to cold conditions, the River Food Truck will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., serving the lunch menu only tomorrow and Thursday. And don’t forget, you can pre-order lunch for tomorrow before 10 a.m.
All School Event Updates/Reminders:
- Tomorrow’s Creek Parent Ed: Raising Resilient Kids: The Power of Connection will be in the Library from 8:30-9:30 a.m. as scheduled. We hope to see you there!
- Tomorrow’s HS VASE Reception will proceed as scheduled in Building 8 from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m.
- Tomorrow’s Middle School morning for coffee and conversation will proceed as scheduled in Building 8 from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m.
- Tomorrow’s evening Springs Parent Education: Staying Calm Through Challenging Moments with Caroline Roesel will proceed as scheduled from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Roadrunner Classroom.
- Due to freezing temps forecasted for Thursday morning, our Elementary Morning in the Garden workday is canceled. But there are still two more volunteer mornings; we sure hope to see you! Please sign up here and we will notify you of any changes.
