Parent Ed: Demystifying Diagnosis: Parenting a Neurodivergent Kid with Learning Specialist Jaclyn Mann

River Campus Studio | 804 Rio Grande Street, Austin, TX 78701
Are you interested in connecting with other parents in the Headwaters community? All parents, whether parenting a neurodivergent kiddo or not, find value in sharing and learning together. All are invited to this community event!

My name is Jaclyn Mann and I’m the River Learning Specialist. It’s been an incredible start of the year getting to know your children. I’m so excited to send a special invitation to parents to attend a Parent Education event that I’m hosting at the River Campus.

Are you interested in talking with other parents about how it feels to raise a neuro-divergent kid? Are you curious about what it is like child tested or evaluated? Are you a parent who has been through the process of identification and diagnosis, and you’re interested in connecting with other like-minded parents? Join us for a community conversation.

This event will take place on Thursday, September 26 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the River Studio (located upstairs at 804 Rio Grande Street). We will talk about how receiving a diagnosis impacts family life, social life, and learning at school—and we will discuss tools for building confidence and ownership around this piece of your child’s identity. This event is also meant to start a conversation about this enormous topic, so please come with questions! This event is great for parents of any middle or high school student.
